I was really inspired by Cari-Jane's blog post about having poetry stuck in your head. She made a beautiful treasury as a homage to a poem from Yeats that swims around in her head. As soon as I read that blog post, a line from an e.e. cummings poem popped into my head -- "nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands" -- that a high school English teacher quoted me about my hands. Then I was reminded of a William Carlos Williams poem that I learned in high school, and finally I though about a poem written by John Donne that I had to memorise for a midterm in university. It is this poem that inspired the following treasury, and while I made it, I thought about the Sun and how I love its warmth, as well as the wonder of Spring.
nobody,not even the rain,has such small hands
nobody,not even the rain,has such small hands

THE SUN RISING*
by John Donne
BUSY old fool, unruly Sun,
Why dost thou thus,
Through windows, and through curtains, call on us ?
Must to thy motions lovers' seasons run ?
Saucy pedantic wretch, go chide
Late school-boys and sour prentices,
Go tell court-huntsmen that the king will ride,
Call country ants to harvest offices ;
Love, all alike, no season knows nor clime,
Nor hours, days, months, which are the rags of time.
