In Awe of Ballet

I had the privilege to watch a spectacular performance of The Sleeping Beauty with my Mom this past weekend. The first act had me perched up in my seat watching the most beautiful dance between Princess Aurora and the four princes that came to seek her hand in marriage. The muscle control that the ballerina had over her body made me breathless. There was one part during the dance when she held her leg up in the air for what seemed like 10 minutes, or more. I have a new appreciation for what goes into dance, and I am in awe of what the body is capable of doing.

What did you do this weekend?

  1. We went to the Orchid show in London. It was spectacular. So many varieties, beautiful creations. We also had coffee with so new friends. Last but not least I studied for my midterm. But I did miss having a Skype date with my sister and nephew, maybe next weekend.

    1. The Nutcracker is one of my favourites! It's such a fantastic ballet. You should really check out the ballet. You have access to such an amazing company in NY! What a dream :)
